How to Achieve Massive, Fenestrated Leaves
Give Them Support: Monsteras are climbing hemiepiphytes. If you leave them
trailing or unsupported, their leaves will remain small. Provide a sturdy sphagnum

moss pole or a wooden plank for their aerial roots to grab onto. Once they feel
supported, leaf size and the number of fenestrations (holes) will multiply rapidly.
Lighting is Everything: While they are marketed as low-light tolerant, a Monstera
kept in a dark corner will produce long, leggy stems and solid, hole-less leaves. They
need bright, indirect sunlight or a strong LED grow light to reach their full potential.
