The Bluelab Probe Ph & Ec Care Kit is a must to keep your Bluelab equipment in good working order. The probe cleaning kit can be used for other ph and ec models. If the probe is dirty, it will affect the accuracy of the reading. pH probes are scientific instruments and should be cleaned and calibrated regularly to extend their life. The probe surface is where the instrument takes the reading of the solution. The information is sent back from the probe to the electronic brain of the instrument. A calculation is then carried out in the instrument brain or micro-computer and a reading is then displayed. If the information sent back from the probe is inaccurate due to probe surface contamination then the reading will be inaccurate.
